Sony has announced during the Tokyo Game Show its newer slim PlayStation 3 model that will be available in the U.S. on September 25, 2012. The $269 250GB PS3 model will have Uncharted 3 Game of the Year edition and a $30 voucher that’s usable for content in the free-to-play FPS, Dust 514. The newer model is 50% smaller than the PS3 Fat and 25% smaller than the PS3 Slim. A non-bundled version will also be available for $249 at a later date.
The 500GB slimmer PS3 will be available on October 30, 2012, and will retail for $299. An Assassin’s Creed III PS3 bundle is also in the works, but pricing is still undetermined.
Japan will get the black console on October 4, 2012, and the white console on November 22, 2012.
